Carlos M. Duncker, MD, PhD, FACNM is a physician–scientist and global medical executive with more than 30 years of leadership across nuclear medicine, molecular imaging and imaging biomarker innovation. He currently serves as Senior Director, Medical Affairs at Perspectum, where he leads medical strategy supporting clinical validation, trial enablement, evidence generation, and product adoption for imaging biomarkers and non-invasive liver assessment technologies.

Dr. Duncker’s scientific work has generated 4,845 total citations. His publications include work in high-impact journals such as Circulation, Gut, Surgery, the American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Nuclear Medicine, and the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging.

In addition to senior institute leadership roles in Mexico (including Head of Nuclear Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Mexico and the National Institute of Cardiology), he has held substantial academic faculty responsibilities, including Professor-in-Chief in Radiology & Imaging, alongside extensive course leadership and invited professorships. He also founded and led the largest private nuclear medicine practice in Mexico, combining scientific authority with operational and enterprise medical leadership.
