Lars Hansen, MD, PhD, received his medical degree and PhD from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and did his clinical training in internal medicine and endocrinology at Steno Diabetes Center, Copenhagen, Denmark. Lars joined the pharmaceutical industry in 2001 and has held various positions in Clinical Research and Development over the past 25 years (Novo Nordisk, Bristol-Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca) and most recently as AstraZeneca Global Clinical Head for a precision medicine program targeting the I148M risk variant of PNPLA3 in non-cirrhotic MASH with fibrosis.
